Summertime…

…is here, in it’s official capacity. No school, no playschool, no alarm clock. Nowhere to be urgently, most of the time. The weather is being incredibly kind for the moment. It’s sunny, it’s warm, the rain has been mostly at night and when it has rained in the day it’s been the sort the kids love; heavy, warm and over in a flash. We’ve visited the zoo, picked our own fruit (more about that later), bounced on the trampoline, splashed in the paddling pool, swung on the swing, fought, negotiated and shared. At the moment we’re enjoying the space at Nana and Grandad’s in Norfolk, and the company of cousins over from Denmark. Five boys together, all of them lovely and such characters in their own individual way.

Contrary to my mood in the last post I’m feeling good. The break from school has gotten off to a great start, we’re booking a holiday at the end of the summer to the Dordogne, I’ve been lucky not once but twice with Facebook competitions, and we have friends coming to stay at the weekend. I’ve also had the first of several singing lessons with two lovely ladies from choir, along with the equally lovely Lemon, our musical director. singing is just so, so therapeutic. I’d already started to feel the negative effects of choir being out for the summer. That lesson couldn’t have come at a more critical moment.

Even more exciting than all of this, we appear to have reached a final decision on which direction to take in September! Yes, I know it’s been said before so I’ll not really believe it until I see it with my own eyes, and heart, but at the moment that’s where we are at.
